Martyr ability plus the fact that power stat boosting defense stat can't compete with attack stat and weaken ability makes Defend totally useless. Why Defend doesn't work in exclusive hybrid mode (1)? With all the millions and millions of stats this kind of reduction would just level the playfield! Now, what was found to be interesting was not the idea itself, as people do not conceive being demoted to mp3, but rather the implicit idea that death takes something away from you. The reasoning is that something so important as death cannot be treated lightly and in case of a murder, there should be consequences.     So, originally we had a structure of that you talk to your ally leader about getting things, Then talk to your lander leader, who then can forward things onto the right people. The problem however exists is that not all the land leaders are knowledgable about MD and can actually help you do what you want. I have had a number of cases where a land leader has pointed people in the wrong direction, told them they cant do things when they most certainly can or just plain failed to tell them the right information.     I am currently trying to design a more balanced and fluid version of Dan's quest/adventure known as DOM, but there are a few problems with it. During the early days, Mur had a number of core features he code and such. things like combat, messages and such. Features that were tested by the beta testers before you could register and play normally. This was planned and such.     I always get asked to "deal with" people who repeatedly neg rep others. However there is only one case that I can properly deal with. Where someone has deliberately gone back over a large number of posts in a period of minutes and neg repped someone. This is where I remove their ability to give reputation. If someone is just neg repping you a lot, what can I do? What do you expect me to do? They could just say they think your posts are bad and Its then not fair to go "I dont agree, I will remove your ability" What does the community think I should do in these cases?

    Two problems: 1) an old one - lots of inadequate avatars in the avatar shop. examples: 2) new one, proactively being done: Impromer tags. People get too much official tags (and also, alternative tags inside brackets look really ugly). Create some sort of an admin page for listing up relevant people, leave the tags for something in-character. For example, Eon's "Former Boss Heads Master" tag is a shame, considering Eon is one of the best fighters that maltreats (or used to) realm's population. Even if he was an active Boss Heads Master, I would refrain from putting up that particular tag. I also dislike tags in the spirit of "Leader of X", or "2nd leader of X".…

    If you really care about depletion so much form a coalition of players against depletion. If someone depletes then the members of CPAD will agree to avoid trading with the depleter. That type of thing is one way to punish people in MD for doing something you don't like. This is not me forming CPAD, this is me making another topic about depletion that I expect to turn into a flamewar on the first page... Have a nice thread!

    People need to get involved in MD otherwise bad things can happen. The change announced a couple hours ago, shows that we do have some people who care about combat and how to raise your stats. But it also shows that a number of big MD players have differing views on how to balance things. Tokens were suggested to be changed in this way, It was actually agreed on, and suggested to be implemented. However, as the MD community pointed out, and it was realised during the discussion, there were a number of issues which meant implementing this would be problematic. Hopefully this should level the playing field slightly. For me the worst decision ever. The rate dropped by 60% and all effort to train and sac creatures are 60% less from now on in comparison to those of the last 5 years. I´m just expressing my disappointment with this. I hope this decision helps the realm somehow.

    First off I wanna say I'm no real fighter/grinder or any of that, but I see this change as a general problem for MD instead of just for fighters. I decided to open this in another thread since it's a new idea which could solve many aspects of combat, not just tokens, and I'd like to hear the community's opinion. What I thought of was a double-system: Paying players and non-paying players. Both of these would be separate as far as combat is concerned; neither can attack the other.
