Every evening I tell my kids a bedtime story. Sometimes they are inspired by MagicDuel. Once I told a story of a bird egg which became a powerful bird or the story of a pirate arriving at an island where drachorns live. Any ideas for nice MD-related bedtime stories can be posted here. This thread should begin with a little back-story first. So, I was participating in the Heads Contest recently at the Gazebo of Equilibrium. I say participating because it really was no contest, but that's another topic. I was holding my standing as second when Ravenstrider began opening and closing a portal in the gazebo. In response to Mur's update, i decided to write about the first thing that came to mind. I have been playing MD for quite a while now, usually only off and on, and with multiple accounts. What I have noticed is that with other games, the reason I play is always to get to the next level, unlock a new character, ect. There was always a driving force which said that if I play more, the game will be more fun. So i played, and seeing myself as a moderately intelligent person, realized this pattern. It seems as though I am under investigation. I have nothing to hide. However, what I would like to know is why I am under investigation. The line: "It is likely that these accounts will be removed without further notification." terrifies me, frankly. I have done nothing wrong and have broken no rules, at least to my knowledge. Currently, with the way it is, you can buy creatures (et al.) with credits sent to other players, this means that if a person is quite well off monetarily in real life, they can get any creature (et al.) that they want, they just have to put a price on it, they don't have to put any effort into it, just click a few buttons on paypal (or such). Now, this strikes me as unfair, in a system where spending money in the shop shouldn't give you an unfair advantage over those that don't, why should giving credits to other players, getting an unfair advantage in that capacity be allowed? I have a slightly growing concern about the new coming MP3. For the past few weeks, I have been sitting in the park and I have watched MP3-- Nearly all of them-- request to use non damage rit. No one has really objected to Mp3 using non damage. I had no care about it until it was mistaken that Non Damage was part of the rules for the park. I don't know where you guys stand, but, looking at it, I kind of dislike it because it's like making a new precedent for the "February" case. I don't care if MP5 do it, because they know the fighting mechanics. As to loosely quote Nadrolski: The MP3 will turn into mindless graasans. Big, but without brains.

Creatures will require from now on a minimum MindPower level do upgrade depending on their level. Some will be upgrade-able at MP3 but most levels will require a higher MP. As most of us know MD has been around for a few years and so have I. Though now entering my third year of university I have entered an ethnography course. The project layout requires a ethnic group to be researched looked at analyzed and reported on. After talking to Mur I have got his approval in order to start my project here. So, as most everyone knows, Mur does not like "Lore", or stories that we write that use story mode characters or concepts or anything that may in any way seem official. At least, that's the definition I've come up with. Fighting and stats (and somewhat less so, creatures) are unlimited; that aspect of the game is open-ended and has no set goal. Lands, alliances, wars, quests and items are only limited by the community, which is in turn essentially unlimited; those aspects are open-ended as well. But those who where around last Christmas are aware of the tree and the gift function. Now when I went there I saw a split second glance of it until it dissipated and replaced its self with the gazebo. I have tons and tons of broken rituals. They starting accumulating when i set a LOTS and LOTS of trees at once. Now I have to do lots of scrolling to get to the "make new ritual" button. Besides, it's annoying to need to repeatedly unbind your giant forest of trees isn't it?

over the last couple days there has been a large amount of spammers registering on the forum, this morning alone i removed 73 accounts. There are still many more but i havent got enough time to deal with them, i will continue tonight. I recommend ANYONE with large amounts of accounts (3+) that have no post sto pm me asap, so that i do not ban your ip for being a spammer, this is because most of the spammers create a bunch of accounts then go to use them. thank you
